Volakas Gold Marble: Greek Elegance with a Golden Whisper
When it comes to natural stone that radiates understated luxury and is more affordable, Volakas Gold Marble—also known as Lord White Marble or Ajax White Marble—offers a uniquely elegant charm. Quarried in Greece, this stone resembles the iconic Volakas Marble, but with a defining twist: golden veins shimmer through a soft white and grey backdrop, creating a look that’s both timeless and warm. This graceful golden glow adds character to any interior, especially when paired with gold fixtures, neutral tones, or light wood finishes.
From marble tile bathrooms to fireplace tile surrounds, Volakas Gold Marble adapts easily to both contemporary and classic designs, making it a favorite among architects, designers, and luxury homeowners around the world.
our project with Volakas Gold Marble in CAN
One of our most fulfilling projects this year came from a Canadian client developing a private villa. They envisioned using Volakas Gold Marble throughout multiple areas—dining room, kitchen, and bathroom—but each space had specific size and design requirements.
Instead of standard dimensions, we custom-cut smaller format tiles: Volakas Golden Marble 12″ x 24″ shower tiles for the bathroom, subway-style backsplash tiles for the kitchen, and large 48″ x 24″ floor tiles arranged in a chevron pattern for the dining room. These variations allowed the natural veining to enhance each space’s character while maintaining a cohesive material language.
To ensure precision, our team pre-laid all the Volakas Gold Marble tiles in our factory for full layout approval. Clients received photos and videos showing every grouping before shipment. Every this greek white marble tile was then labeled and packed in custom-fit wooden cartons, protected with waterproof linings and edge guards, ensuring perfect delivery.
This wasn’t just another order—it was about transforming raw stone into a complete design story across three rooms, proving how one material can create harmony through thoughtful craftsmanship.
what’s the difference between Volakas Gold marble and Classic Volakas marble ?
At first glance, Volakas Gold Marble may seem like a sibling of the classic Volakas marble. Both stones share a Greek origin, a polished finish, and a soft white base streaked with grey. But Volakas Gold marble introduces a subtle warmth with its golden veining—like light breaking through clouds.
This gentle shift in tone makes it uniquely adaptable. Where white Volakas marble leans toward minimalist cool tones, Volakas Gold marble thrives in mid-century modern kitchens, modern living rooms, and light-toned bathrooms, where soft contrast and warmth are key. Whether used as stair tiles, a tile coffee table, or marble tile kitchen backsplashes, the golden hues provide elevated detail without overpowering the design.
It’s these small details that draw global designers toward Volakas Gold marble when they want the sophistication of white marble—enhanced with a golden edge.
