While most materials are available in standard thicknesses of 3/4″ and 1-1/4″, we prefer to use 1-1/4″ thick material for several reasons. This thickness not only provides added durability and stability but also allows for more intricate designs and edge profiles, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the countertop.
One of the key advantages of lamination is the ability to create a custom look that perfectly matches your design vision. At HRST STONE we understand that not every countertop needs to be fully laminated. In fact, to save cost and reduce weight, we typically only laminate the finished sides of the countertop. The laminate strips used in this process are typically 3″ to 6″ wide, depending on the desired overhang, ensuring a seamless and professional look.
