Aesthetics: Though it’s rather rare in the kitchen when compared to natural stones like marble and granite, green onyx can flourish in bathroom environments with uses like vanity counters or walling.Onyx is a very distinctive addition to the house because of its brilliant green veining and amazing whirling designs.

The Cons of Green Onyx
Fragility: As mentioned above, green onyx is soft, brittle, and fragile when compared to some other natural quartzite. This means the onyx stone isn’t likely to hold up well in high-traffic areas like kitchen countertops. Green onyx slabs tend to come with a fiberglass mesh backing to help strengthen and hold it together.
Softness: original green onyx can be scratched from sharp objects; we should avoid this happening, which makes it prone to taking on damage from everyday use in the kitchen.
Calcium-based: since green onyx is a calcium-based stone, it reacts to acidic substances and will likely etch from wine, lemon juice, etc. (or if an acidic cleaner is used).
