In our project, the customer did not accept the traditional bonding method to make the water-retaining edge. The beige limestone material itself is relatively cheap. In order to maximise the effect and extend the service life of this custom made bathroom vanity, we finally discussed this with the hotel owner and used beige limestone blocks to complete this project for him. From the following pictures, we can see that the bathroom vanity we provide is an integrated carved countertop panel with a water-retaining edge design 5mm higher than the countertop panel on all sides. We installed the under-counter basin hole size that the customer had specified, made a hole, and processed the hole’s edge all the way around. The faucet hole was also dug according to the drawing requirements so that the customer could install it directly after receiving the countertop panel.
Those who have been watching the products I posted should know that carved stone needs to be polished twice or three times after carving. We repeatedly polish the surface to obtain a mirror-like gloss, which enhances the gorgeousness of the washbasin and simplifies cleaning. This design also adopts the processing method of limestone rough material cutting and processing, combining the natural beauty of stone with modern technology to provide a luxurious and safe bathing environment.
In this hotel project, we used a one-piece carving design. Unlike traditional shower floors that use multiple pieces glued together, this bathroom shower floor tile is a complete one-piece one. We use CNC carving machines to carve it. This processing method ensures that the finished cream limestone surface is uniform and seamless, which is both beautiful and practical.
As with bathroom floor tiles, safety is the most important thing. We will cut grooves with a gap of 100 mm. The evenly distributed grooves can enhance grip and prevent slipping even when the floor is wet. In order to increase the beauty, we also grind the edges in the grooves. The one-way groove design also helps to drain efficiently. The edges are carefully polished to ensure safety and bring a pleasant experience to hotel guests.
In order to control costs, many hotels still use the traditional glue edge method, which involves installing multiple pieces of stone to form a shower floor and glueing the edges together. This is a more cost-effective approach, but may result in visible seams and potential weak points where water may seep through, requiring more maintenance over time.
