Yellow Rust Granite Water Fountain where sun-kissed gold meets the music of falling water
Stone story
Granite Water Fountain Quarried in the coastal hills of Fujian, Yellow Rust (a.k.a. G682) is a tight-grained granite whose palette reads like a late-summer field: a warm golden-beige base flecked with tiny black crystals and rust-coloured wisps. Those natural colour bands hide water staining and airborne dust, so the fountain keeps a “just-installed” look with only routine rinsing.
Weather warrior
With a flexural strength of 11–16 MPa, compressive strength above 114 MPa and water absorption below 0.5 %, the same block that survives coastal typhoons and city centre pollution also shrugs off freeze-thaw cycles, salt spray and the constant wet/dry cycling inside a fountain basin . In short, it is engineered by nature for 365-day outdoor duty.
Design freedom
Whether you want a three-tiered palace show-piece 3 m high or a low, square bubbling table for a roof terrace, Yellow Rust delivers:
Flamed & bush-hammered for anti-slip basin floors and rustic mountain style;
Polished on the water-run edges to catch the sunset and add golden highlights;
Carvable into baskets, pineapples or lotus petals—its fine grain holds crisp detail without chipping .
Build anatomy (typical 3-tier set)
Base pool dia. 2.4 m, lower bowl 1.4 m, mid bowl 1 m, top bowl 0.7 m; internal PVC hose sleeve hidden in 100 mm Ø central column; all joints pinned with stainless rods and epoxy, so the entire stack acts as one structural column against wind and playful climbers.
Installation & care
100 mm concrete pad + concealed levelers = zero wobble;
Recirculating 750 l/h pump, 12 W LED spot in base pool, single outdoor GFCI socket;
Twice-yearly hose-down and re-fill—no sealant needed; if limescale appears in hard-water zones, a nylon brush and 5 % acetic acid restore the golden glow in minutes.
Sustainable glamour
Granite does not off-gas, fade or peel, so the fountain can be dismantled and re-used decades later. Its thermal mass even provides passive cooling to adjoining courtyards, while the golden hue reflects sunlight, reducing the heat-island effect of hardscape.
End scene
At dusk the polished rims catch the last light, the rust veins glow like embers, and water sheets shimmer down golden stone—an ever-changing landscape portrait that needs no curator, only electricity and tap water. Yellow Rust granite turns a simple water feature into a timeless, maintenance-light sculpture that celebrates both nature’s palette and human craftsmanship.
